HOW TO QUALIFY

  1. The Cash Race will run every calendar month and is only open to Met Card holders.
  2. Met Card holders will be awarded Met Points for each day (6am to 5.59am) they make a playing visit.
  3. A playing visit is defined as playing in a raked house dealer dealt cash game.
  4. It is the Met Card holder’s responsibility to offer their Met Card at the point of a qualifying transaction. Leisure Met Card holders are excluded in participating in the monthly Cash Race.
  5. Where tracking is applicable, Metropolitan Gaming (MGUK) uses reasonable efforts to track a participant’s play; however, as a condition of receiving Met Points for table games play, or other non-electronic games, participants agree that such Met Points are granted based on the personal observations of MGUK employees, which is subject to error. The determination of MGUK shall be final with respect to any discrepancies.
  6. Met Points can be accumulated for a maximum of 8 hours of play per gaming session.
  7. The Top 50 Met Point earners and Top 10 High Hand players on the respective leader boards will be invited to play in the Cash Race Tournament.
  8. In the event of a tie all players tied will be invited to play in the Cash Race Tournament.
  9. The Cash Race Tournaments will take place on the first Sunday of every month with the Top 15 finalists from the Cash Race tournaments winning a cash prize based on the pay-out structure displayed in the Poker Room, first place will also win a WSOP Team Empire Package for the following year.
  10. The WSOP Team Empire package includes: $10,000 buy-in for the WSOP Main Event for the following year, return flights to Las Vegas and travel insurance, transfers to hotel and accommodation, branded Empire Poker Room merchandise, ‘Team Empire’ experience whilst in Las Vegas (to be determined by management).
  11. There is no cash alternative/refund for any part(s) of the package.
  12. Packages can only be transferred to another Met Card holder (within 14 days of winning) who has qualified for a Team Empire Cash Race or previously played in a WSOP tournament at the Empire with prior agreement from the Empire Casino management.
  13. Travel arrangements will be made for all team members to travel together. These flights will be fixed dates and any adjustments to the flights or travel accommodation will be at the expense of the team member. There are no refund or cash alternatives to the original arrangements.
  14. If a package is transferred, it must be done as a whole. Flights, accommodation and buy in will be in a single persons name only.
  15. Players must confirm all details within 14 working days of winning a package so relevant bookings can be made.
  16. Winners must wear an Empire badge at all times during WSOP tournament play. These must remain visible during all Main Event tournament play. No other promotional badges must be worn during the WSOP Main Event without permission from Empire Casino management.
  17. If a package is transferred, the nominee assumes all package winner expectations and responsibilities.
  18. Package Winners must arrange and obtain their own ESTA/Visa for right of entry into the USA.
  19. The team members will be fully responsible for adhering to any Covid-19 entry requirements into the USA and the UK on return, if required.
  20. Players entering the WSOP events must be over the age of 21.
  21. Each team member will need to provide the Las Vegas hotel with their credit card details. The credit card will be charged for an incidental deposit and any other costs accrued during the trip.
  22. Players will be required to participate in marketing commitments which include but are not limited to photographs, videos and social media posts. These will be scheduled in London and Las Vegas. These will be scheduled in advance and must be attended by all Team Empire members.
  23. If any team member is participating in any product/service marketing which may be a conflict of interest to our own, their package may be cancelled.
  24. The management reserves the right to amend or cancel the promotion at any time. All management decisions are final.
  25. If a player has his/her Met account suspended or cancelled before the tournament, they will forfeit their place/package.
  26. Entry constitutes acceptance by the entrant of these terms and conditions.
  27. Any complaints or disputes should be brought to the immediate attention of Venue Management for resolution.
  28. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion at any time. If participants have already met the qualifying criteria for the promotion, they will be entitled to participate in the promotion on the terms entered, (subject to any expiry or other conditions contained in these terms) and entitled to any benefits associated with the promotion.
  29. Employees of the Promoter, their agents, families, or household members are prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  30. Disregard or failure to meet any of these terms may result in the management cancelling prizes.

TEAM EMPIRE 2023

Customers have been representing 'Team Empire' since 2016, and in 2023, they entered the WSOP Main Event for the sixth year (due to travel restrictions in 2020 and 2021). Empire has now entered customers into this event 52 times and has won cash prizes in seven of those instances. Fabio Miranda had cashed out over $15,000 twice before, and this year he brought back a whopping $67,700 in prize money. Yordan Vasilev, who was also part of Team Empire 2023, won $15,000, and Sam Stockman won $17,000 last year.

Additionally, for the first time this year, Alea Glasgow joined the tournament with their Alea Team of four players, and Sam Wardlaw also brought home $15,000. Customers from both Metropolitan Gaming properties traveled together in style.
